At Irimiya Trauma Therapy, we believe great clinicians are developed through exceptional supervision. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Supervisor who is passionate about mentoring associate therapists and helping them become confident, skilled trauma clinicians. This is a part-time, W2, remote/hybrid position.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted California license as an LMFT, LCSW or LPCC in good standing.

  • Qualified to provide clinical supervision in accordance with California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) requirements.

  • Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experienceproviding psychotherapy.

  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical supervision experience (preferred).

  • EMDRIA-approved EMDR training required.

  • Demonstrated experience treating trauma, Complex PTSD, dissociative disorders, and sexual trauma.

  • Strong working knowledge of Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS)/Parts Work.

  • Experience conducting risk assessments, crisis intervention, safety planning, and mandated reporting.

  • Excellent clinical judgment, ethical decision-making, and documentation skills.

  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and communication abilities.

  • Ability to foster a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for associate clinicians.

  • Proficient with electronic health records (EHR), telehealth platforms, and HIPAA-compliant documentation.

  • Commitment to cultural humility, diversity, equity, inclusion, and trauma-informed care.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Clinical Director and treatment team.

  • Current professional liability insurance.

Clinical Supervisor Duties

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing high-quality clinical oversight, mentorship, and support to associate therapists while ensuring ethical, trauma-informed care and compliance with licensing board requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly individual and/or group clinical supervision to associate therapists in accordance with California BBS requirements.

  • Review clinical cases, treatment plans, progress notes, and documentation for quality, accuracy, and compliance.

  • Support clinicians in developing case conceptualization, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions.

  • Provide consultation on high-risk cases, including crisis intervention, suicide assessment, mandated reporting, and ethical decision-making.

  • Support clinicians in the integration of somatic therapies, Internal Family Systems (IFS)/parts work, and EMDR into clinical practice.

  • Monitor clinician performance and provide constructive feedback to promote professional growth.

  • Ensure supervisees maintain ethical standards and comply with California BBS regulations, HIPAA, and practice policies.

  • Be available for clinical consultation and urgent case support during scheduled work hours.

  • Participate in monthly team meetings, case consultations, and clinical trainings.

  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director regarding clinician development, performance concerns, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate supervision documentation and complete administrative tasks in a timely manner.

  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture that prioritizes clinician wellness and exceptional client care.

Availability / Schedule

Available 2 days a week - One day must be Thursday for Group Supervision

6 client hours / week

2 hours - Group Supervision

2 hours - Individual or Triadic

Compensation

$65 / Client Hour

$75 / Clinical supervision hour

$28 / Admin Hour
