Welcome. I’m Gloria and I am an associate marriage and family therapist, EMDR practitioner and reiki level 2 practitioner. As a Somatic based therapist, I believe the mind, body, spirit connection offers an integrated, whole-person approach in which clients practice finding their own intuitive guidance.
I am deeply committed to helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of trauma, emotional pain, and relational distress through an integrative approach that blends traditional psychotherapy techniques with body-centered healing practices.
I utilize a trauma-informed approach that recognizes the deep connection between the mind and body. I believe that healing from trauma involves not only addressing the emotional and cognitive aspects of pain but also acknowledging how trauma manifests in the body. By incorporating somatic therapy techniques, I help clients release stored tension, promote emotional regulation, and reconnect with their physical sensations to foster deeper healing and self-awareness.
I have a particular passion for working with couples, especially those who are navigating the aftermath of trauma or are experiencing emotional disconnection. Utilizing the Gottman Method can help couples dealing with infidelity, communication issues, or unresolved trauma. My personal life experiences that involved my own life transitions through marriage, divorce, single parenthood, remarriage and challenges that come with blending families has provided a personal passion into working with individuals with similar situations.
Using humanistic clinical approaches, I serve individuals managing anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and attachment disruptions. A somatic-informed lens addresses historical and complex trauma with individuals across the age span. My approach focuses on guiding my clients to a deeper understanding of their behaviors and self.
"I believe in the importance of looking at your family systems to develop a full understanding of where many of the transgenerational trauma manifests from and how it impacts your current relationships. I also believe in the importance of becoming more skilled at listening and giving voice to your inner parts" - Gloria
