As a therapist trained in both Counseling and Art Therapy, I believe healing doesn’t always happen through words alone. Expressive arts allow us to explore complex emotions, memories, and internal experiences in ways that feel far less overwhelming than traditional talk therapy—offering a creative bridge when words fall short.

My approach is deeply trauma-informed, prioritizing safety, choice, collaboration, and empowerment. Because trauma lives in both the mind and the body, I integrate a body-aware, somatic approach alongside mindfulness to help you recognize physiological responses, build grounding skills, and restore a sense of safety within your own skin.

Whether working with children and teens using creative, age-appropriate interventions or guiding adult survivors through the lasting impacts of relational trauma, abuse, and human trafficking, my goal remains the same: to help you gently rebuild trust, self-understanding, and connection at a pace that honors your nervous system.

At Irimiya Trauma Therapy, healing isn't about erasing what happened—it’s about discovering greater safety, agency, and self-compassion in the present.
